Translation |
| Abstract(E) | The development from passive safety systems to drive assistance systems to active safety systems crystallizing in the automotive industry is described. "Automatic Distance Regulation" (ADR) from research at Volkswagen is presented as a typical driver assistance system. A "Collision Avoidance System" (CAS) is defined as the final stage in the development of active safety systems. Necessary further technological developments for CAS are named based on the current state. |
