| Abstract(E) | With the increase of traffic in recent years, the traffic condition has been decreasing the using chance of the conventional cruise control system considerably. Therefore, development of the cruise control system with headway control function, which is called Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and aiming to improve driving convenience and comfort, is progressing. Accurate detection of the preceding vehicle is essential for ACC systems. This paper introduces a high-performance two-dimensional scanning laser radar for ACC systems. It also discusses the system applications. |
