| Abstract(E) | In the present study, estimation method of cornering stiffness is presented against the changes of tire stiffness and its air pressure, using Fiala model together with regression analysis. For this purpose, empirical formulations of lateral spring constant, foot print, and belt stiffness, which are needed to estimate cornering stiffness, are investigated. This study makes the estimation of cornering stiffness possible , when tire design have been changed , and the author believes it is a effective tool to shorten the tire development periods. |
