| Abstract(E) | An accurate description of tire properties for lateral slip combined with camber is essentially necessary for future vehicle simulation in which large camber angles will be experienced. In this paper, the camber effect on the force and moment properties of tires is investigated through experimental study incorporated with the Unified Tire Model. The camber effect should not only be considered as the equivalent lateral slip ratio, but also the variation of structural parameters, such as cornering stiffness, friction coefficient and pneumatic trail, need to be considered. The tire model agrees well with the tire combined test data. |
