Abstract(E) | China is a key platform in the automotive world. By 2014, China will become the first country for Valeo in terms of number of employees (close to 13.000) and even the first in terms of sales by 2015-2016. Since 20 years in China, the reliability competence for Valeo is key issue regarding to the 22 plants, 9 development centers and 3 research centers. In this context and focus on electronic issue, Design For Reliability is a permanent challenge. How to grow the Reliability competence in China for Valeo? The Reliability competence is a challenge for tow reasons: Innovation and Human. Indeed, the new products and systems represent 1/3rd of our order intakes. With more than 9400 Reliability R&D people, 300 internal R&D projects, 50 collaborative projects and 45 PhD, the innovation is a real key issue.In Addition to that, Human aspect is also a Reliability challenge. Reliability is not only Math, Statistics, Weibull, Warranty, ...? No ! The fact is if you have the best tools and methods, but no good Reliability people you have nothing. The reliability success is a human success. Thus, in a complex organization, complex mecatronic products, we have to improve the efficiency of Reliability competence development in Asia, especially in China.After a deep analysis of our organization and two experimental projects in China, we have decided to implement a new Reliability cursus, particularly in electronic and mecatronic projects.This cursus is simplified in 6 steps : quick training by eLearning for a large population, apply a simple and practical training for reliability engineer (R&D and/or Quality), identified a local leader, coach the leader, do a train the trainer reliability module, manage a reliability project, certify the local Reliability Champion locally. |
