| Abstract(E) | AVL HYPOP optimization tool aims to determine HYbrid Powertrain Optimal Policy with respect to fuel consumption optimization and performance for a given speed trajectory, finite time horizon and initial SoC. Main interests of this approach is to consider both Gear shifting and E machine torque setpoint as control variables in a simultaneous way to find the global powertrain optimal policy. HYPOP model is a backward optimization tool based on Dynamic Programming and is applied in this paper to a Mild Hybrid configuration with 48V Belt Starter Generator (BSG) system and 7 gears DCT. HYPOP model is validated with respect to CRUISE forward model from AVL using a baseline conventional vehicle. Method, tools and process for creating optimal calibration set of the AVL embedded Control SW are described and applied on real target vehicle showing a shortened calibration process towards fuel consumption optimum. |
