| Abstract(E) | It is essential for achieving carbon neutrality in the future with internal-combustion engines, to replace much fossil fuels with renewable fuels, and simultaneously to minimize fuel consumption for effective utilization of limited energy with higher thermal efficiency. This study experimentally and numerically investigated the future-anticipating technologies not only on cooling loss (having secondly higher contribution ratio in the energy losses of diesel engines) reduction, but also on cycle efficiency improvement with a heavy-duty single-cylinder diesel engine. |
