Translation |
Abstract(E) | Impulsive pressure wave called micro-pressure wave emitted from tunnels is one of environmental problems in high-speed railways. The representative of its countermeasures is a tunnel hood installed at the tunnel portals. The effect of the tunnel hood depends on its cross-sectional area, and the area and the installation position of side openings. This paper expounds the micro-pressure wave phenomena and the specifications of the tunnel hoods installed at Shinkansen tunnels. This paper also describes that the results of model experiments on the effect of the cross-sectional area of the tunnel hood and the optimization method of the side openings of the hood are conducted for speed-up of Shinkansen. |
