| Abstract(E) | In this study, we successfully prepared the colloidal crystal(CC)elastomer films from monodispersed microparticles surface-modified with polymer chains by hot-pressing and shearing. When the shear strain was applied to these microparticles, vivid Bragg reflection colors emerged due to the formation of well-ordered CC structures. The Bragg reflection color reversibly changed between red and blue upon stretching and releasing. Moreover, such CC elastomer films were reshapable and recyclable multiple times. We believe that our CC elastomer films can be applied as environment-friendly strain sensing devices in diverse industries. |
