| Abstract(E) | This article introduces the strategies for addressing the dilemma of thermal issues and noise issues, which are becoming increasingly difficult in vehicle development in association with the societal challenges of decarbonization and well-being. The strategies are illustrated by an example of off-road vehicles, where the dilemma is particularly pronounced due to the characteristics of the vehicle, but also introduces new and old approaches, including conventional approaches for the common equipment in a variety of vehicles, as well as relatively new approaches such as inverse analysis using the adjoint variable method. |
