| Abstract(E) | Using a mathematical model considering the product of inertia of 5 degrees of freedom, a detailed analysis was carried out by the energy flow method. As a result, the torsional deformation of the rear frame destabilizes the weave mode, which is caused by the lateral force of the front and rear tires. Specifically, rear tire lateral force destabilizes the weave mode due to torsional direct deformation of the frame. On the other hand, in the case of front tire lateral force, the weave mode becomes unstable as a result the steering angle phase delay. Differences between the destabilization mechanisms obtained in the modified model and those in the so-called JAMA model are discussed. |
