| Abstract(E) | The lateral and vertical force of the contact point is important for vehicle stability. Twist beam suspension is an integrated structure in which the left and right are connected, hence the input force is distributed to both sides. Therefore, the mechanism of translation of the lateral force acting on a twist beam suspension into a vertical force has been investigated. Using a simple model, a relational equation was derived that translates the lateral force acting on the contact point into a vertical force. The validity of this mechanism has been confirmed by the comparison of calculation and measurement results. |
