| Abstract(E) | A method was developed to automatically calculate sensor layouts that eliminate blind spots at intersections based on operation design domain (ODD) conditions and the road network. The purpose of the method is to reduce the man-hours required to design an automatic driving system (ADS) that cooperates with infrastructure support sensors in the ODD. As a result of evaluation using a driving simulator, it was confirmed that the method can calculate sensor layouts that eliminate blind spots from the perspective of the ADS while taking into account the degradation of recognition performance due to weather conditions. |
