| Abstract(E) | TOYOTA has developed the simultaneous reduction system of NOx and PM(DPNR; Diesel Particulate and NOx Reduction system) on diesel engine powered light-duty trucks. Simultaneous reduction of NOx and PM has been realized by the combination of combustion control and application of exhaust pipe injector mounted on the up stream of catalyst. This paper also suggests that the use of ultra-low sulfur fuel is essential to achieve further reduced emissions with sufficient catalyst durability. |
