| Abstract(E) | In order to improve the thermal efficiency of gasoline engines, lean burn and stratified combustion systems are employed. In such systems, the spark ignition may be a key part to reduce the instability of combustion under very lean combustion situations. To examine this effect, an experimental apparatus that can realize simplified charge stratification field was used to test combustion characteristics. |
