| Abstract(E) | Driver characteristic is considered in our development and evaluation of a new lane keeping assist system. In order to achieve a lane keeping assist system with small interference generated by the conflict between the assist system and the driver, it is essential to adapt the driver model in which driver characteristics is incorporated in the assist system. In our study, we assessed a lane keeping assist system focusing on the feed-forward steering of the driver. We examined the steering angular velocity and steering starting point as the driver's feed-forward steering characteristic. We constructed a lane keeping steering assist system using a driver's model and evaluated it with an actual vehicle. As a result, a lane keeping assist system with small interference at increasing steering and decreasing steering was realized as a result of the feed-forward control system, which regards the driver's characteristic. |
