| Abstract(E) | This paper describes the development of a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test solution using a multi-physics plant model. The HIL approach is contributing to an efficient development process where the model-based system engineering (MBSE) strategy is followed: development starts with a modelled equivalent of an apparatus. A (closed-loop) HIL setup allows testing physical components within a modelled working environment. This work aims to make a default, scalable platform available, for a broad range of engineering fields. This paper shows how this general framework and methodology facilitates in setting up HIL tests, demonstrated by two actual HIL setups built using this platform. |
