Translation |
| Abstract(E) | Distributed strain measurement system based on optical frequency domain reflectometry (OFDR) can measure a strain at an arbitrary position along a long gauge FBGs (fiber Bragg grating) with less-than-1mm spatial resolution. Originally, this technology was developed for Structural Health Monitoring (SHM). Recently, it has been introduced to a small equipment and device for thermal stress and mechanical stress evaluation, utilizing high spatial resolution. Herein, measurement principle and sample application for automobile chain pin are reported. |
