| Abstract(E) | This paper presents the application results of a new structural design concept based on structural intensity for reducing structure-borne sound on a compound plate structure with multi vibration energy transmission paths. This concept is based on the interruption and promotion of the transmitted power. The concept is explained by using the modal expansion of structural intensity which is expressed by the superposition of weight function and cross-modal function. The cross-modal functions can be classified into two types without and with the contribution to the transmitted. The type of cross-modal functions without the contribution can be utilized for the interruption of the transmitted power. |
