| 抄録(英) | Modern automatic transmission requires high torque capacity, enhanced shift comfort and extended service life and yet it must be installed in a limited space in the engine compartment. Clutches occupy most of the space in automatic transmission so they must be designed very compactly. While meeting the clutch torque and heat capacity, selection of proper return spring types is one of the few alternatives for design engineers for further space savings. The authors investigated various spring types used as the clutch return springs and demonstrated its influence on transmission length, weight and performance. The use of inner slotted disc apring resulted in the most compact and lightweight design of the clutch assembly and favorable effects on shift quality and transmission efficiency. 翻訳 |
