| 抄録(英) | Diesel vehicles offer significant CO2 benefits compared with their gasoline counterparts, but higher NOx and particulate emissions are a key challenge. This paper describes the technical approach to develop a combustion system using near conventional hardware but with very high EGR tolerance to significantly reduce engine out emissions. Using an advanced statistical calibration process, the system produced vehicle NEDC emissions of 0.08 g/km NOx engine out with excellent driveability. The application of an LNT system further reduced these NOx levels to 0.065g/km. Issues surrounding calibration robustness and a 9.7% increase in fuel consumption are still to be addressed for a mass production application. 翻訳 |
