| 抄録(英) | Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) is considered a promising next generation of combustion technology for automotive engines. The current outstanding issues in its development are its limited operating widow size and difficulties in its control. The UK Foresight Vehicle Link Project on Controlled Homogenous Auto-ignition Engines aims to expand the HCCI operating window by using a combination of measures including boosting, fuel reforming, new after-treatment and comprehensive thermal management of the engine system. The work includes, among other aspects, testing on a single cylinder thermal engine for parametric study and flow/combustion diagnostics in an optical engine, supported by modeling studies. This paper presents an overview of the progress of the project and demonstrates the promising aspects of the technology concept. 翻訳 |
