| 抄録(英) | Future demands for CO2 reduction generate huge challenges for engine and vehicle OEMs. The mainstream solution is to downsize the engines either by reducing the displacement, by reducing the number of cylinders or by deactivating some of the cylinders in part load operation. Most of these approaches lead to a significant change of the sound experience compared to current state of the art internal combustion engines. This paper describes influences of downsizing on NVH as well as different approaches to generate a pleasant sound experience for downsized engines. Different options of downsizing and respective solutions for improving the sound feedback especially in the vehicle interior are demonstrated. 翻訳 |
