| 抄録(英) | Particle number (PN) measurement is the new requirement the certification for Euro 5 (2009) passenger cars with diesel engines (UNECE-Regulation 83), Euro 6 (2014) passenger cars with direct injection gasoline engines and EURO VI (2014) heavy-duty engines. The PN measurement systems are calibrated annually with complex procedures that require electrostatic classifiers and radioactive sources. The calibration material is not well defined in the legislation which leads sometimes to calibration differences between PN systems. Moreover, most users have additional procedures for quality assurance which requests more frequent checks. For these reasons a particle generator is necessary to perform these on-site checks of the PN equipment. In this paper we present the AVL Particle Generator (APG) which consists of a diffusion flame burner for the production of soot particles and a volatile particle remover for the thermal pre-treatment for the particles. Thus, diesel-like, stable soot particles are produced. Finally a dilution bridge stage decreases the concentration to very low levels. Parameters that affect the generated size distributions are discussed. Experimental results showing the investigation of the APG, as well as its stability and repeatability are shown. Finally we describe how it can be used for fast and simple on-site checks of PN systems, which do not require electrostatic classifiers and radioactive sources like the normal calibrations procedures. 翻訳 |
