Abstract(E) | In this study we focused on the operability evaluation and improvement of the accelerator pedal in off-road utility vehicles. Unlike passenger cars, it is used under high intensity vibration conditions. The disturbance from rough roads affects the operability of the accelerator pedal. The operability of the accelerator pedal was quantitatively evaluated using biological signals. It is evaluated by electromyography (EMG) of driver’s leg muscles and heart rate variability calculated from electrocardiography (ECG) signals. To improve the accelerator pedal operability under the off-road driving, it is important to optimize the depressing pedal force. |
