| Abstract(E) | We are in the midst of a once-in-a-century period of great change, and at the same time, a dramatic improvement in development efficiency is required. The same is true for materials technology, which is undergoing various changes from individual research to technological development (generalpurpose technology), from quality characteristics to functionality, from material testing to physical modeling, and from defect countermeasures to prevention. In this paper, we will discuss the concepts, issues, and expectations for the future. |
