| Abstract(E) | Titanium is suitable for bipolar plate material for its highest specific strength of any metal and high corrosion resistance. But surface treatment is needed for titanium due to the reduction of its surface conductivity in fuel cells. Kobe Steel has developed and mass-produced titanium coated with titanium oxide incorporating nano-carbon particles (NC titanium) which can be press-formed. The structure and properties of NC titanium are reported. |
