Abstract(J)拡散ディーゼル燃焼において極低エミッション化を実現するため,NOx低減に有効な高過給高EGR条件下におけるスモーク抑制手法について検討をおこなった.従来燃焼におけるスモークの主な生成元となっていたメイン拡散燃焼リッチ部を低減するため,メイン燃料噴射量の減量と,早期噴射量の増量による予混合燃焼を組み合わせた分割燃焼を採用した.この分割燃焼の採用により従来燃焼音により制限されていた燃料噴射圧力を高めることができ,分割燃焼の効果と合わせてスモーク低減効果が確認された.また,予混合噴射のダイリューション低減のため,千鳥配置噴霧を採用した.これらの手法を組み合わせることにより,従来燃焼に対し熱効率の低下と燃焼音の増大,スモークの増加をさせることなくNOxを40%低減,拡散ディーゼル燃焼の極低エミッション化を実現した.

Abstract(E)In order to realize extremely low emissions with diffusive diesel combustion, a study was made of methods for smoke suppression under the high-boost, high-EGR conditions that are effective in reducing NOx. Divided combustion that combines a reduction in the injected amount of main fuel with premixed combustion in which the amount of fuel injected early is increased was adopted in order to reduce the rich portion of the main diffusion combustion, which was the main generator of smoke in conventional combustion. The adoption of this divided combustion made it possible to raise the fuel injection pressure, which had previously been limited due to combustion noise, and a smoke reduction effect was confirmed together with the effect of divided combustion. In addition, a staggered spray layout was adopted in order to reduce dilution of the premixed injection. Combining these methods achieved diffusive diesel combustion with extremely low emissions, and reduced NOx by 40% while not causing increases in combustion noise or smoke, or reduction of thermal efficiency relative to conventional combustion.
