Abstract(E) | It is important to give high initial axial tension in respect of tightening reliability. However, since this tension is indirect, it varies greatly in lot of tightening. It is thought that distribution of this kind is conventionally varied in a rhombus. In this paper, the statistical distribution of the magnitude of the equivalent stress which is tightened by the calibrated wrench method is formulated. Tightening torque and equivalent stress coefficient are considered to distribute in an elliptical confidence limit. Therefore, it is concluded that higher tightening torque and initial axial tension can be obtained with smaller variation than before. |
