Translation |
Abstract(E) | All-solid-state batteries, which consist entirely of solids, are attracting attention as the energy storage devices for the next generation. Although there have been attempts to make batteries solid for many years, the discovery of solid electrolytes comparable to the performance of the electrolyte in lithium-ion batteries has triggered the development of batteries for automotive use. This paper reviews the research and technological development of all-solid-state batteries, summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of using solid-state batteries, and describes the challenges for future technology development. |
