Abstract(E)	This paper examines the design factors required for communication between a low-speed automated driving service car and surrounding pedestrians by using an external Human Machine Interface (HMI), in order to reduce inefficient or insecure communication observed in real road environment and traffic situation. We conduct an experiment using a virtual reality environment that reproduces traffic scenes with approach/avoidance communication between them and discusses the design factors required for communication using an external HMI based on the experimental results.

How to use the search box

How to use the search filters

Use the "search filters" when you want to narrow down the search results, such as when there are too many search results. If you check each item, the search results will be narrowed down to only the data that includes that item.

The number in "()" after each item is the number of data that includes that item.
