Translation |
Abstract(E) | This paper examines the design factors required for communication between a low-speed automated driving service car and surrounding pedestrians by using an external Human Machine Interface (HMI), in order to reduce inefficient or insecure communication observed in real road environment and traffic situation. We conduct an experiment using a virtual reality environment that reproduces traffic scenes with approach/avoidance communication between them and discusses the design factors required for communication using an external HMI based on the experimental results. |
