| Abstract(E) | Improving road traffic safety has become a crucial issue, and various attempts have been made in the past. While various safety support systems have been introduced and their results have been clear, the decline in the number of accidents and casualties has stalled in recent years, making the development of new support systems desirable. From this perspective, this paper discusses the importance of road friction information related to road traffic safety, as well as the concepts and measurement methods for its development. Finally, I will describe the details and results of our method for continuously measuring road surface friction. |
