| Abstract(E) | The aim of this work is to establish the equation for predicting cetane number of biodiesel fuels based on their composition or properties. For conducting the regression analysis, 34 fuel-samples with wide variety of ignition quality were made by mixing 5 kinds of biodiesels and 5 kinds of FAME reagents. The relationship between cetane number and the fuel properties were analyzed. Based on these results, 4 kinds of regression equations were proposed and their accuracies were examined. Obtained results show that the regression equation based on fuel composition can give cetane number with high accuracy, while it can be roughly predicted only from iodine value. |
