Abstract(E) | AOEMs have an increasing pressure for accurate early stage target setting, which is driven by data from benchmark and predecessor vehicles, as well as subjective/objective relations. Vehicle dynamic estimators can provide a cost-effective solution for these engineering challenges. However, those model-based state estimators, typically employed for controls-oriented applications, do not meet the high demands in terms of required (transient) precision imposed by vehicle testing. This paper develops and demonstrates on an experimental vehicle setup an estimator for medium to low response levels and expansion of data from COG level to axle level allowing decomposition of the global vehicle dynamic behavior. |
