Translation |
Abstract(E) | Titanium and its alloys have been applied to motorcycles and automobiles in order to reduce the weight of their component parts. In recent years, titanium exhaust systems, engine valves and connecting rods have been widely applied mainly to sports type or large motorcycles. In this presentation, the following points are introduced in detail: V-free Ti-Al-Fe based titanium alloys as alternative ones to Ti-6Al-4V for engine parts, Ti-Cu-Nb(-Si) system titanium alloys having better heat resistance for mufflers and process technologies to further reduce integrated manufacturing costs. |
