Abstract(E) | Recent improvements have been made in noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) engineering by reducing the overall noise of passenger cars. However, the annoying noises including the squeak and rattle (S&R) have been increasingly recognized as critical factors of the quality of vehicles. Annoying noises are undesirable noises caused by friction-induced vibration or impact between surfaces. In this study, various CAE and experimental methods developed by Hyundai Motors for chassis noise and operating noise of the system are reported. |
