Translation |
Abstract(E) | To assure the safe use of ADS, it is important to establish a way of estimating driver situation awareness (SA) to ensure that the driver is ready to take over when necessary. This driving simulator study investigates spontaneous gaze behaviour of an expert driver groupand a normal driver group during assisted automation versus partial driving automation to idenitfy gaze behaviour that is characteristic of being "in the-the-loop" (ITL) versus "out-of-the-loop" (OoTL). Results from the expert group will form a baseline for target SA and will be compared with descriptive SA to measure the effect of the OoTL state on safety. |
