Abstract(E) | A membrane particulate filter made up of three-way catalyst (TWC) particles was fabricated in order to mitigate the exhaust gas emission and to achieve higher initial filtration efficiency. Agglomerate nitrogen suspended microparticles were deposited on the conventional particulate filter substrate under different superficial velocity (5-50 mm/s). In this article, a two-dimensional porosity measurement method which was investigated on cross-sectional view of TWC membrane particulate filter was presented. First, total pores area and apparent bulk area were analyzed by image processing program, and the result was validated by electron micrographs through FE-SEM. Parametric studies have been conducted and the average porosity were measured as approximately 59%. |
