Abstract(E) | From the viewpoint of social acceptability, it is important that highly automated lane change support functions are designed in consideration of the impact on surrounding vehicles. In this paper, we investigate the effect of the lane change behavior on the behavior of other vehicles and the psychological effects on drivers of other vehicles, focusing on the vehicles that follow own vehicle after own vehicle has changed lanes, and propose an implementation decision strategy required for lane change support functions based on a discussion of the results. |
