| Abstract(E) | Rotary switches are used in in-vehicle equipment, and the operating feeling of the switches influences the overall impression of the vehicle, thus the operating feeling needs to be well-designed. In this study, we focused on the combination of the physical characteristics of the tactile sensation and the operation sound when operating a switch, and investigated a method for quantifying the operating feeling. The correspondence between the experiments using onomatopoeic expressions and adjectival expressions suggested the possibility of quantitatively designing a delicate operating feeling by using the sound symbolism of onomatopoeic expressions. |
