Abstract(E) | A new 3.3-liter inline six-cylinder diesel engine has been developed. This new engine uses Pmax-lowering combustion technology and structural parts whose functions have been evolved, optimized and integrated. As a result, the new engine has achieved best-in-class lightness and friction loss. Furthermore, we has been developed cooperative control technology for a 48V mild hybrid using a new engine that effectively achieved high thermal efficiency in a wide operating range. This has differentiated the strong engine from others and further enhanced the value delivered by “driving pleasure” and “outstanding environmental performance”. |
