| Abstract(E) | Honda developed a new HEV system that adapts to regional requirements, such as improved top speed in Europe and improved towing performance in Europe and the US, for the global rollout of e:HEV. The parallel layout of the traction motor and generator optimizes space efficiency, enabling a dual-stage gear system directly connected to the engine. This has achieved both improved towing performance and a 12% increase in maximum vehicle speed to be combined with a newly developed motor. |
