| Abstract(E) | This paper investigates the “exhilarating” engine sound of an in-line 4-cylinder downsizing turbocharged engine. Downsizing turbo engines tend to have rumble noise due to high load operation at medium and low rpm. Therefore, we clarified the relationship between the target“ exhilaration” and the rumble noise. Moreover, each parts treated to realize“ exhilarating” engine sound. In addition, we considered the difference between“ exhilarating” and“ alive” sound quality that defined in previous research. |
