Abstract(E) | This paper reviews the holistic approach toward a zero-traffic accident fatalities and injuries, including public policies and engineering aspects on traffic safety fundamentals consisting of three viewpoints, such as human driver, vehicle and road environment. Moreover, recent research and development projects of ADAS and automated driving are introduced. Especially safety related projects on driving recorder to analyse nearmiss incident data, scenario-based safety assessment, multi-agent traffic simulation to predict the effect of automated driving deployment on traffic accident reduction are introduced. |
