Translation |
Abstract(E) | In vehicle-pedestrian collisions, pedestrians are injured due to contact with the vehicle and the ground. In this paper, first, research studies of pedestrian ground injuries were reviewed. Next, the research of pedestrian kinematics was introduced based on the force interaction between the vehicle and the pedestrian. It was shown that the impulse acting on the pedestrian when the pedestrian recontacts the hood top, the angular velocity of the pedestrian’s torso changes, and the torso angle in ground contact decreases to less than 90 degrees. |
