Translation |
Abstract(E) | We developed the body structure technology to reduce occupant injuries. We proposed new structures to enhance the load gradient of the B-pillar and door beams. Test specimens of the door beam and B-pillar were fabricated, and the effect of enhancing the load gradient was verified by single unit tests. Full-car simulation with new structures showed that the load gradient of the car body was enhanced by 4.5 times compared to the conventional structure. The dummy acceleration was reduced by 56%, suggesting that the new structure can reduce occupant injuries. |
