Abstract(E) | Due to the recent pass-by noise regulation, reduction of tire noise radiation is being required. On the other hand, other functionalities such as grip performance have to be also satisfied. In order to meet both requirements without undermining each other, understanding of how tire noise is generated is important so that designers can efficiently identify where they have to modify for meeting those requirements. In this paper, the mechanism of tire noise radiation is diagnosed using a tire radiation noise model created from a result of a rolling tire FE model then summarized the mechanism. |
