Translation |
Abstract(E) | Steering knuckles, which are automotive suspension parts, have been being replaced from cast iron to forged high strength aluminum for weight reduction. However, the conventional aluminum forging process (T6 process) has issues that a large amount of CO2 is emitted and it is difficult to increase strength, due to the characteristics of the heat treatment process. Therefore, we developed a new process that achieves low CO2 emission and high strength, and began mass production. |
