Translation |
| Abstract(E) | To ensure a sustainable supply of service parts for legacy vehicles that remain in use long after production has ended, Mazda has reviewed its conventional sand casting process, which was optimized for mass production. A new sand casting process suitable for low-volume and intermittent production was developed and applied to selected parts. This initiative aims to balance brand value by supporting long-term customer use with improved business efficiency. This paper reports the background, development approach, and key characteristics of the new process. |
