| Abstract(E) | A computer simulation of electric inertia chassis dynamometer control was performed to investigate the difference of work during a test cycle. The difference was less than 1% with a delay time of less than 0.10s, and the rate of electrical inertia to mechanical inertia ranged from -60% to 200%. The differences in exhaust emission, fuel economy, and work between the electrical inertia system and the conventional mechanical inertia system were negligible in the actual system tests. Therefore, an electric chassis dynamometer can be used to perform exhaust emission and fuel economy tests. |
